Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

The Edimis Practice Management systems are perfectly suited to expand as your practice expands beyond billing toward a paperless office.

HL7 Import - Many EMR systems will export an HL7 compliant file that contains both patient demographics and charge encounter data gathered in the EMR. The Practice Manager is capable of receiving these files, updating patient demographics and / or posting the charge encounter information automatically to the patient's account. This eliminates the need for a paper "routing slip" or "super bill" and ensures that the codes billed out are those intended by the provider.

Patient Demographics Export - Patient demographic information can be exported from the Practice Manager systems to a text file that can be "read" by the EMR to keep the information in both system automatically in synch.
